Melodie Rose Ammons, born on September 14, 1954, in Omaha, Nebraska, transitioned on Saturday, October 19, 2024, with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her father, B.K. Hamilton; mother, Rose Lea Hamilton; and brother, William Hamilton.
Melodie earned her General Education Diploma and worked as a chef until she retired. She was known best for preparing meals and cooking for others. In 2011, she graduated from M28 at Harvest Tabernacle of Sarasota, earning a diploma and becoming an ordained minister. Her unique sense of humor and personality was genuinely captivating, drawing people near. She had her own special way of connecting with people. Leaving an impact on all she came in contact with, as she was a loving mother to all. Melodie was a fierce woman of faith, standing strong in all things. She will be loved and missed by so many.
She is survived by: her loving husband of fifty years, Cleo Ammons; brother, Michael Hamilton; seven children, Amber Rose Alexander, Jarrod Ammons (Amanda), Rachael Ammons, Lena Ammons-Clark (Frankie), Odessa Ammons (Terrace), Cleo Ammons, and Kenneth Ammons; grandchildren, King Jacob Johnson, Joseph Ammons, Terrance Williams, Erianna Sanders, Amirah Sanders, Jeremiah Sanders, Anthony Williams, Frankie Clark, Jr., Allen Clark, Angel Hawkins, Cleo Ammons Jr., Adrianna Ammons, Kennice Clark, and Christian Hughes; great-grandchildren, Ona Lea Ammons and Marieli Rose Herrera; loving support animals, Tony Ammons and Thunder Ammons; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, And friends.
