Mildred L. Green, 104 of Bradenton, Florida passed away in her home August 15, 2024. She was born in Reading, Michigan March 12, 1920, to Leonard and Myrtle Hollingshead. Mildred graduated from Reading High School and International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. On August 10, 1940, Mildred married George E. Green Jr. They lived in Jackson, Tecumseh, Plainwell, Three Rivers and Pentwater, Michigan. In 1978 Mildred became a resident of Bradenton, Florida and spent summers in Pentwater, Michigan, the favorite family gathering place.
Mildred was preceded in death by George, her husband of 75 years. She is survived by three daughters: Carol Ann (Dale) Downs, Bradenton, Florida; JoAnn Green, Bradenton, Florida; Gloria (Dave) Proffitt, Saint John, Indiana. Five grandchildren: Todd (Tamara) Downs; Scott (Ivy) Downs; Ben Proffitt, Betsy (Nick) Serdar, Bodie (Kristen) Proffitt. Twelve great-grandchildren: Ridge (Anna), Sarah, Georgia, Estella and Charlee Downs; Milana, Eli Serdar; Bodie, Brecken, Carter, Luke and Egan Proffitt. One great-great grandson, Felix Michael Downs.
Mildred was a kindhearted, loving person and always put others first.
At the request of Mildred, a graveside service for the family will be held at a later date.
