Mildred J. Morales

Mildred J. Morales, 94, passed away in Bradenton, Florida on April 18, 2026.

Millie was born on June 16, 1931, on a farm in New Windsor, New York. She was the tenth and youngest child of the late Giuseppe and Rosa Congelosi. In 1953, Millie married H. Joseph Morales, who was a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. During their marriage they lived in New York City; Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; Harper Woods, Michigan; Hudson, Ohio; Creston, Iowa; and then, upon retirement, in Dunnellon, Florida. After her husband Joe passed in 2010, she moved to Freedom Village in Bradenton Florida, where she lived the rest of her days.

Millie was a homemaker who also worked as an accounting clerk and administrative assistant. She was active on the school PTA and supported her sons’ extracurricular activities. She was on the residents’ board in her building at Freedom Village for a couple of years. She loved playing bridge and joined bridge clubs wherever she lived. She was a loving wife and mother and loyal and devoted friend.

Millie leaves behind her son Michael Morales and daughter in law Marian of East Amherst, New York, and her son, Anthony Morales and daughter in law Sarah of South Lyon, Michigan; grandson Paul Morales, and granddaughters Alyssa Morales and Nina Morales.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on April 23, 2026, at The Landings at Freedom Village, 6406 21st Ave W, Bradenton, Florida, in the Lounge. Her final resting place will be with her husband Joe at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
