Minnie Edith Stanley, age 98, of Bradenton, FL, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton, FL. Minnie was born on April 5th, 1925, in Kissimmee, FL and was the last surviving child of the late Clay Stephen Partin and Lillie Mae Simmons.
She was a fourth-generation native Floridian and grew up in Kissimmee, FL during her youth. She graduated from Osceola High School in 1944, where she enjoyed playing on the girls basketball team and participating in the 4-H club. She also attended Florida State University when it was still an all-girls university.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Vance Birnie Stanley; her daughter, Alicia Pierson; her son, Vance Birnie Stanley, Jr.; her two brothers, Charles C. Partin, Sr. and Irvin S. Partin and her sister, Lois M. Partin.
She is survived by her two daughters, Marlene Toepel and Patricia Ogle; five grandchildren, Janet Erdman (Wade), Brian Ogle (Sharon), Vance Toepel (Alyssa), Robert Toepel and Shawn Pierson. She also leaves behind twelve great-grandchildren: Kevin Donawick, Cameron Ogle (Chrissy), Matthew Ogle, Brandon Ogle, Jason Ogle, Victoria Erdman, Zoi Pierson, Wesley Erdman, Vanille Pierson, Logan Toepel, and Jesse Toepel. Additionally, she has two great-great-grandchildren, Carter Ogle and Chole Ogle.
A Celebration of Life for Minnie will be held on August 24th for family and friends. A Graveside Service will be held 1PM, Friday, August 25, 2023 at Dade Memorial Park/Caballero Rivero Dade North Cemetery in Miami, FL. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
