BRADENTON – Big Summer Golf Card Holdings, LLP, a new company formed by John Neal and Charles Varah representing the Pasold family, have purchased the long standing Big Summer Golf Card® program.
Operating for more than 20 years, the Big Summer Golf Card has successfully provided golfers with great summer golf at favorable pricing throughout the Southwest, South and Central Florida regions. More than 100 golf courses participate in the program, which reaches about 17,000 golfers in the Florida market.
“We think it is in everyone’s interest in the local market, to maintain the integrity of summer golf in our area and to ensure that the Big Summer GolfCard program continues,” said John Neal, president of Lakewood Ranch based custom home building company John Neal Homes and a partner in the new sports based company.
The even better news for the 2013 season golfer is that “The Big Money Tour”℠ will be back with monthly drawings and prizes for all card holders. Last seen in 2007, the Tour was a popular item and many golfers have asked for its return. Big Summer Golf Card Holdings, LLP a Neal/Pasold company, is dedicated to enhancing the golfing experience for Big Summer Golf Card holders through regional course participation and growth in game initiatives. The partnership will allow more opportunity to develop new programs for the future as well as retaining all the advantages and great customer service associated with the Big Summer Golf Card.
“What is especially appealing is that the Big Summer Golf Card has provided a stable, contract driven, summer golf marketing program which has been a lifeline for many area golf courses and an important revenue source during the, traditionally, quieter period of May to October,” said Charles Varah, a partner in the new company.
Original program founder Linda Talbot was enthusiastic about the sale. “I am proud to have built the Big Summer Card over a 20 year period to be the best and most popular summer golf program in the area and I am thrilled that the Neal/Pasold partnership will be able to continue its success. With their expertise it will be exciting to watch them initiate new programs for the benefit of area golfers and courses,” said Talbot.
Local area courses, the core market for Big Summer Golf Card players, have responded favorably to the news seeing a greater degree of marketing opportunity to bring awareness of their courses to the local golfplayer.
Course participation and program details are currently being finalized. Watch for the 2013 Big Summer Golf Card sales starting this month with a pre-season pricing offer of $53 through mid April 2013.
