BRADENTON – Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County has recently hired Drue Duerschmidt as their new Marketing Manager.

Mr. Duerschmidt’s experience in Marketing and Brand Management spans a broad spectrum of marketing platforms. Throughout his marketing career, Drue has enjoyed utilizing his creativity and resourcefulness in building awareness and excitement around familiar brands, such as Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, MET-Rx, Marvin Windows and Doors and Nature’s Bounty Vitamins. He was recognized by Pepsi as “Marketer of the Year” for creating and executing broadcast promotions, events and targeted marketing programs that resulted in increased market share on Long Island, where he was Marketing Manager.

Along with his valuable marketing background, Drue worked as a Primary Residential Counselor at a safe house for homeless and runaway children, where he provided daily informal counseling, warm meals and structure for the young residents. It was this challenging and rewarding experience that fueled his compassion and desire to help others.

Originally from New York, Drue and his girlfriend, Laura, reside in Bradenton with their two dogs, Lexi and Jupiter.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County serves over 6,000 youths at seven locations (Daughtrey Elementary, Harllee Middle School, Johnson Middle School, Southeast High School, Bradenton, DeSoto and Palmetto Clubs). For more information, call 761-2582 or visit www.BGCManatee.org.
