Movers and Shakers: Bradenton Christian School Welcomes a New Superintendent

Posted

BRADENTON – The Lord has blessed Bradenton Christian School (BCS) with a new superintendent in Dan Vande Pol, who is eager to continue BCS' tradition of excellence and lead the school forward into the future.

Vande Pol began his teaching career fresh out of Dordt College in 1988 in a 5th grade classroom right here on our campus at BCS. He taught and coached basketball players-including Varsity Basketball Coach, Scott Townsend- until 1996 when he and his wife, Amy moved back to Iowa. After a few years teaching in Iowa, they moved out of the snow to Southern California where he taught and earned his Master's Degree in School Administration from Cal State.

For the past nine years, Dan has served as an administrator at Lake Worth Christian School in Palm Beach County. In that capacity, he has assumed the roles of Assistant Superintendent, Admissions Director, Elementary Principal and the International Student coordinator.

Dan has a passion for Christ, for students, teachers and staff, and for helping raise up the next generation of Christian leaders. Dan and Amy have 4 children: a senior who is attending UF; a high school sophomore; a 5th grader and a 2nd grader. The family is excited to return home to the BCS family and Bradenton.
