BRADENTON – David Verhoff is the Manatee County Tax Collector’s Employee of the First Quarter 2014. An employee since April 2011, he is a Support Analyst in the Quality Assurance (QA) area of the Current Collections Department.

“David Verhoff is a role model employee,” said Tax Collector Ken Burton, Jr. “He lives out our mission every day by ‘performing his duties with integrity and respect, focusing on innovation and serving with excellence’. Not only does he effectively handle his own responsibilities, he is a team player who provides his services when others need assistance. David received the Outstanding Quality Award last year and then participated in a panel discussion on innovative ideas to increase efficiency at the Florida Tax Collector’s Education Forum. He’s that good and we value him greatly.”

Verhoff is responsible for the monthly DMV renewal notices, the majority of DMV procedure updates and all DMV internet updates. He analyzes solid data and compiles reports that ensure policies and procedures are being followed, as well as tracking trends or areas of concern.

“David presents data analysis in a very clear and understandable manner and takes this responsibility very seriously,” said Tony Conboy, Director of Current Collections. “He is trained on our Checklist Program, Q-Monitor Lobby information program, and as a Specialized Driver License back-up, he assists when needed. David took over the responsibility of the FRVIS daily reports while maintaining his own tasks and projects when a staff member was reassigned.”

“Whenever I need a training webinar produced, David is quick to volunteer and researches all aspects of what the training should contain,” said Debra Scott, QA Manager. “David also handles two days of our New Hire Training which prepares our newest employees for their responsibilities and the components of transactions.”

David Verhoff is an asset to the office as a whole as he exhibits the core values of Teamwork, Innovation, Excellence and Accountability in everything he does; and treats everyone with Integrity and Respect.”

David’s name is engraved on the Employee of the Quarter Trophy, receives a certificate, a reserved parking space, a uni-leave day, a free pizza from Demetrio’s Pizza House, Cortez Road and names a themed casual day in his honor.
