health professionals, financial advisers and members of the judicial system work collaboratively to develop innovative approaches to the complex issues of Family Law so that the Twelfth Judicial Circuit can better assist families experiencing divorce and other life events.

Dr. Carswell is a Licensed Psychologist who received her Undergraduate, Masters’ and Doctoral degrees from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Carswell’s practice focuses on treating adults with anxiety, mood, and adjustment disorders. She also specializes in working with teenagers and young adults on developmental and self-esteem issues and coping with life transitions. Working with couples on relationship issues is also a major interest. Additionally, she provides psychological testing for learning disabilities, ADHD, personality and intelligence.

Dr. Carswell has an extensive background working in University Counseling Centers in addition to serving as a graduate instructor and academic advisor at the University of Florida. She has also worked in the health psychology clinic at the Tampa Veterans Administration Hospital.
