Movers and Shakers: Gulf Coast Builders Exchange Announces New Directors

LAKEWOOD RANCH – The Gulf Coast Builders Exchange has announced the election and appointment of new Board Members.

The following Directors were recently sworn in as Board Members: Ron Allen – NDC Construction Company; David Karins – Karins Engineering Group, Inc.; Bill North, Jr. – Hill, Barth & King, LLC; and Kevin Hick – Gator Grading and Paving.

Chairman Jason Swift of Jon F. Swift, Inc. welcomed the new members to the Board of Directors.  They join fellow Board members – Darrell Turner – Turner Tree & Landscape, Russ Bobbitt – Purmort & Martin Insurance Agency, Mary Forristall – Forristall Enterprises, Inc., Paul Stehle – Climatic Conditioning Company, Inc., Mike Bennett – Bright Future Electric, Doug Sutter – Sutter Roofing, Greg Burkhart – Key Glass, LLC, Jack Cox – Halfacre Construction Company, Inc., Alan Zirkelbach – Zirkelbach Construction, Inc., Lem Sharp – Sharp Properties, John Brown – Law Offices of John E. Brown of Counsel (ex officio).

The Gulf Coast Builders Exchange was established in 1952 and is a not-for-profit corporation operating as a trade organization. Under the guidance of a volunteer Board of Directors, the organization’s philosophy of “members working with members” has been successful in helping individual members grow. This success has become the foundation for the continued development of the organization.

The GCBX membership is comprised of over 300 companies in Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte Counties. It includes some of the most respected contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, service providers, and businesses in construction‑affiliated industries.
