Movers and Shakers: Ian Black Real Estate Promotes and Hires Staff

SARASOTA – Ian Black Real Estate is pleased to announce the promotion of Cindy Jean to Director of Marketing. Jean joined Ian Black Real Estate in 2012 as a sales associate, licensed in Florida and Ohio, assisting with commercial property management, sales and leasing. Jean will now focus on the marketing of all property listings and corporate branding.

“I have lived in fifteen cities across the U.S., but fell in love with Sarasota’s energy and beauty and will never leave. I am proud to work with such a talented and professional team of individuals here at Ian Black Real Estate,” said Jean.

Jean began her real estate career in 2006 as Executive Assistant to the President of Viewpoint Realty International in Clearwater Beach, with involvement in leasing, business development, creation of marketing collateral and outreach through local and international brokerages to market hotels, development sites and marinas in the Tampa Bay Area.  

As Senior Administrator at Cassidy Turley, she provided administrative and marketing support to the Managing Principal and five brokers, across multiple practice groups, during the firm’s transition from a Colliers affiliate to an emerging national brokerage with offices across the country.

Additionally, Ian Black Real Estate has added a new sales assistant to its team. Amy Lyon MacDougall will join Jag Grewal's team. MacDougall grew up in Huntington, NY and earned a double major in Economics and Psychology at Ohio Wesleyan University. She completed her specialty of neuropsychology in graduate school, specializing in pediatric neuropsychology.

While living on the east end of Long Island, MacDougall worked in residential real estate with Allan M. Schneider Associates and then the Corcoran Group. She moved to Sarasota in 2007 and has a three-year-old son. “I am so happy to be able to live and work in my favorite place in the world. I appreciate the natural and developed beauty, the culture and arts, and the friendliness of Sarasota,” said MacDougall.
