BRADENTON – Manatee Children's Services is an organization that believes in making a difference in our community. We work to make a genuine difference in the lives of our children. We are seeking a part-time, live-in youth care specialist for children in our group home. Our Residential Programs provide 24-hour care and treatment for dependent children ages 11-17 which meet the criteria for residential group care. Specific services to be provided are detailed in the child's individualized treatment/service plan, including provision of education, recreation, individual/group counseling, family, life skills, and specific transitions plans which provide for community reintegration and self-sufficiency. The goal of Manatee Children's Services' Residential Programs is to provide long term quality care for children in need.

This is a part-time, live-in position; hours begin Friday at 5pm through Monday at 7am, every other weekend. Responsibilities include providing a parental type role for up to 6 children placed in the group home. Duties include formulating healthy meal plans, cooking meals, scheduling and transporting the children to appointments, and engaging in recreational and educational activities with the children.
