Movers and Shakers: Manatee Glens Make Major Staffing Changes

BRADENTON – Manatee Glens President/CEO Mary Ruiz announced the promotion of several key staff members and the retirement of Chief Operating Officer Deborah Kostroun. Melissa Larkin-Skinner, MA, LMHC has been promoted to Chief Clinical Officer and Heidi Blair to Chief Administrative Officer. Roger Johnson and Melanie Teves Bell, Ed.S. LMFT assume responsibilities of Senior Vice President over medical and clinical services respectively. Shawny Robey is promoted to Vice President of Business Development.

“Manatee Glens is growing to meet the community behavioral health hospital needs of our region.” said Ruiz. “This management team positions us to support our future growth. I am grateful for the mentorship Deborah provided them to prepare them for this transition.”

Kostroun is retiring after 22 years of service to Manatee Glens. “Under her leadership we created a first-of-its kind residency program, developed our child welfare division and expanded our inpatient and outpatient services. We are so grateful for her dedication and commitment to our clients and patients.”

Recently, Manatee Glens expanded its hospital detox and addictions residential treatment services to include specialty programs for Medicare and Tricare insured. Manatee Glens is also expanding its private medical practices located on State Road 64 East in Bradenton and Sawyer Road in Sarasota.
