Movers and Shakers: Matthew D. Westerman Joins Board of Directors of The Child Protection Center, Inc.

BRADENTON – Matthew D. Westerman, Florida Board Certified labor and employment attorney at Blalock Walters, has joined the Board of Directors of The Child Protection Center, Inc. Established in 1980, the CPC works together with the Department of Children and Families and Law Enforcement in the investigation of child abuse cases and also coordinates community-wide services for affected children. The CPC has locations in Sarasota, North Port, Arcadia and Venice, Florida.

Westerman is a Principal in the firm’s labor & employment and immigration law practice areas. He represents clients in virtually every aspect of the employer-employee relationship, including defending employers in harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wage and hour litigation matters.

Matt also assists companies with day-to-day employee relations issues and provides guidance on regulatory compliance matters. Additionally, he represents both businesses and individuals with immigration and naturalization. Westerman received his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, magna cum laude, and B.A. in Psychology from the University of Central Florida.
