Movers and Shakers: Meals On Wheels PLUS of Manatee Announces New Marketing Manager

BRADENTON – Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee is pleased to announce that Jill McGarry has joined the organization as Marketing Manager. McGarry is responsible for promoting awareness of the many programs operated by Meals on Wheels PLUS, including The Food Bank of Manatee and Renaissance on 9th.

McGarry has more than ten years of experience in the local community. Most recently, she was Community Relations Manager at the Bradenton Herald, where she managed the company’s 300-plus annual community sponsorships, oversaw circulation sales and marketing, and produced the annual Golden Herald Awards. She also has knowledge of the nonprofit arena, having worked at Manatee Glens and served on multiple non-profit Board of Directors and committees.

“We are excited to have Jill as a new member of our team,” said Maribeth Phillips, CEO of Meals on Wheels PLUS. “She brings the right mix of experience, local connections, and enthusiasm to continue the branding of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee and increase awareness in the community.”

Marketing efforts had previously been managed by Kristen Theisen, Vice President of Development. The addition of McGarry is allowing Theisen to focus more fully on donor relations and the enhancement of the Meals on Wheels PLUS Planned Giving program, Endowment Fund, and Legacy Society.
