SARASOTA – Global Financial Private Capital ("Global Financial") – a Sarasota-based, independently owned, SEC Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) managing over $3 billion in assets – is proud to announce its invitation to ring the opening bell for the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, February 25, 2014.

Representing the company are President and Relationship Director Geoffrey A. Frazier, Assistant Portfolio Manager and Chief Compliance Officer Edward C. Bertelsen, and Chief Investment Officer Christian Bertelsen, who will be joined by 20 key staff members and 10 of the firm’s top advisors. "We are deeply honored that the New York Stock Exchange has invited Global Financial and its affiliates to ring the opening bell at such an exciting time for our company,” said Michael J. Dixon, CEO of Global Financial. “By reaching this milestone, we have taken another important step forward on behalf of our employees, investors and advisors throughout the United States.”

Born in Sarasota, Global Financial started with a single desk in 1994 and has progressively grown to consist of 25 employees in 2010, 42 in 2011, 61 in 2012, 106 in 2013, and plans to further expand staff to approximately 250 in 2014 – all based in its Sarasota headquarters. The company was recognized as the 46th largest RIA in the United States by REP magazine, and was named one of the eight fastest-growing RIA in the country in 2012, and a Forbes Top 50 Wealth Manager in 2013. In addition to its industry accolades, Global Financial has been featured in 23 national television appearances on Fox Business, CNBC and Bloomberg; over 50 Thought Leadership articles and quotes; and multiple feature op-ed stories with the Wall Street Journal.

The firm also recently announced a new succession and business continuity program developed in conjunction with Advisor Growth Strategies, a practice management consulting firm, and MarketCounsel, a business and regulatory compliance consultancy. The program offers two unique options from which advisors can choose to protect the value of their advisory business.

The first – Advisor to Advisor Continuity – helps advisors locate either an internal or external successor from the Global Financial network, with whom they form a continuity agreement through turnkey support provided by Global Financial's partner firms. The second – Legacy Lock – is an exclusive, new-to-market program within the financial services industry that offers advisors a compelling backstop program to protect their business, instead of having to find a successor and create an agreement themselves.

The Opening Bell will ring at 9:30 a.m. EST and can be viewed live on the NYSE’s website at nyse.nyx.com/the-bell/todays-bells-live. Photos and video of the NYSE Bell Ringing Ceremony will be available, courtesy of the NYSE, on Facebook--NYSEEuronext, Twitter at www.twitter.com/NYSEEuronext and on the NYSE YouTube Channel -- nysetv1.
