Movers and Shakers: Steve Traves Joins Duncan Real Estate as New Sales Associate


ANNA MARIA – Realtor Steve Traves, an Anna Maria Island resident for 27 years, has recently joined Duncan Real Estate as the newest member of this dynamic sales team.

Concurrent with his career in real estate, Traves is founder and proprietor of AMI Outfitters Coastal Gear & Apparel on Pine Avenue in Anna Maria. His shop is the first Outdoor Store ever opened on the Island, and is the only Outfitter between Sarasota and Tampa.

Traves's clients will benefit from the exceptionally wide variety of services he offers in his store, including Island vacation rentals and property investments.

Darcie Duncan, Broker-Owner for Duncan Real Estate, is diligent and selective about hiring the right talent for her brokerage. She knows that agents with a strong work ethic, motivation and integrity can best assist buyers and sellers in Manatee County.

Traves is a retired professional photographer, specializing in outdoor images for over 30 years. While working nationwide as a freelancer, he launched a children's software company in Sarasota to produce a nature series which he personally photographed, wrote and programmed. His software has won numerous education technology awards and was distributed by Scholastic, Inc.

Traves is currently serving as President of Kayak Anglers of West Florida and is a sponsor of Heroes On the Water providing therapy for military veterans. His shop is sponsoring the 83rd Annual Sarasota Tarpon Tournament benefiting Suncoast Charities for Children. He is also the current Vice President of North End Merchants Organization (NEMO) of Anna Maria Island, a community outreach association.
