Movers and Shakers: Tint Shark Volunteers at Dallas IWFA Conference

BRADENTON – Paul Mello, owner of Tint Shark in Bradenton, recently traveled to Dallas Texas to attend the IWFA (International Window Film Association) Regional Conference & Competitions. While at the Conference Mr. Mello completed and passed the exam for his Professional Accreditation as an “Automotive Film Specialist.” Mr. Mello also has 2 other Accreditations: “Solar Control Specialist” and “Safety and Security Specialist.” Working with an IWFA Accredited Specialist assures the consumer that the dealer with whom they are working has successfully completed testing on important areas of technical and installation expertise. In delivering on its 2014 strategy to ‘bring the IWFA to the regional level’ in support of further growth and expand information sharing opportunities, the association held a three-day conference and competitions from February 28 to March 2 at the Arlington, Texas Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center. Over 150 window film professionals came to see manufacturer, supplier and distributor exhibits, and to attend valuable seminars to learn from top experts in their field as well as from one another. There were over 30 registrants for accreditation courses. Fifty professionals competed for the trophies and cash awards and recognition at the event organized by many volunteers from the IWFA Members Action Committee.

Paul Mello is also a volunteer on the Members Action Committee of the IWFA so while at the Conference Mr. Mello devoted many hours to helping the event prove to be a great success. The International Window Film Association (IWFA), a nonprofit trade group educating the public on the many benefits of window film and representing leading manufacturers, distributors and dealers, awarded trophies and $12,000 in cash prizes and ‘bragging rights’ to nine window film professionals who placed First, Second or Third in the Architectural, Automotive and Paint Protection Film categories during the regional conference and competitions event held recently in Arlington, Texas.
