SARASOTA – Urbanite Theater in downtown Sarasota will present a special, five-performance run of Mr. Yunioshi, a one-man comedy that explores Asian stereotypes through Mickey Rooney's yellow-face performance in the Hollywood classic, Breakfast at Tiffany's, September 7-11.
The play was named Best Solo Show at the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival and has been described as "utterly brilliant," in previous reviews.
Jonathan Elijah Cho, a writer and actor based in Los Angeles via Tampa, wrote the play he also performs. Cho is a graduate of the University of South Florida and has several credits in the region, in addition to playing Wonderboy in two seasons of the AMC series, Halt & Catch Fire.
