Bradenton, Florida - Murrie was born in Mobile, AL to the late Willie SR and Geneva Coleman.
Murrie was known also as "Babysister." As a believer in Christ's sacrifice, she was baptized at Mount Olive Baptist Church No.2. Murrie was a committed member of the Civil Rights movement in Alabama.
