Nancy Sue Lemasters of Parrish, Florida, passed away suddenly to be with our Lord October 5, 2024, but not before giving others the gift of life at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. Nancy was born on January 31, 1950 in New Martinsville, West Virginia, to the late Robert A. and Vera O. Tippins.
Nancy grew up on 2nd Avenue, graduated from Paden City High School in 1967 and Parkersburg Business College. As an avid pet lover, Nancy established the original Dog Palace, a grooming salon in New Martinsville, WV. She married Richard Lemasters on July 1, 1995 in Sistersville, WV. At the age of 50,she embarked on a new adventure by enrolling in culinary school at West Virginia Northern Community College,Wheeling, WV. Nancy pursued her passion for the culinary arts and became the owner/operator of the Wells Inn in Sistersville, WV with her husband Richard. She ran the restaurant where she was famous for the best crème brulee in West Virginia. She was a wonderful cook, and appreciated fine and not so fine wines. Nancy had a wonderful smile and a great laugh. She will forever be remembered by her family and many, many friends.
She loved to travel with her husband, Richard, and was known for her optimistic outlook on life. Together, they have traveled to Florida as snowbirds since 2010, but became full time Florida residents 8 years ago. They traveled the U.S. and Europe extensively including Greece, Italy, and her favorite Nice, France.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years, Richard Lemasters. She also leaves behind her stepchildren, Scott Lemasters, Jennifer Nakasu, Paul Travis, and Tina Travis Myers; her dear sister Diana Cecil; and several nieces, nephews and "greats" that she loved as her own. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert A. and Vera O. Tippins; brothers Robert G. Tippins and Chester N. Tippins; and her baby brothers James and Gary Tippins.
