Newby, Nancy, - 68, of Palmetto, Nancy Newby (formerly Garretson) 68 years old of Palmetto Florida passed away on May 8, 2024, with her four children by her bedside. Nancy was a lifelong resident of CMC, NJ before joining her daughters in Florida 2 years ago.
Nancy was a hard worker who found joy in "fixing" things. In between her jobs at Cape May Lewes Ferry in NJ and Publix Bakery in FL, you could find her working on her house doing projects. She was a handywoman and a superwoman to all who knew her. Although her passing has left a hole in our hearts, it is with great confidence that we know she is with Jesus. Her faith was child-like and she consistently prayed for all her family and friends. She grew her faith at Bayside Community Church in FL and Lighthouse Church in NJ.
Nancy is survived by her four children Cynthia and Sean Deweese, Ruth and Matt Gray, Matt and Dolly Newby, and Charlotte and James Ridings. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren with two on the way, sisters Charlotte, Line, and Darlene, sister-in-law Ellen, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday 6/1/24 in NJ where all family and friends can gather to remember this great woman. Contact a family member for details.
