Neal Mason Hall, 86, of Longboat Key, FL, passed away on April 16, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born in 1939, Neal lived a full, vibrant, and active life marked by creativity, dedication, and a deep love for family and friends.

A talented, artistic, and technical photographer, Neal made significant contributions to education by building a television studio and network for the National Education Association (NEA). His technical skill and vision helped bring educational content to a wider audience during a pivotal era of media development. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Neal was a passionate musician. He played drums with the trio “The Gad-Abouts” and, for 25 years, performed as the beloved “Flaps” with the British Embassy Players’ annual Music Hall productions, delighting audiences with his rhythm and stage presence.

Neal found great joy in the simple and meaningful pleasures of life. He was an avid golfer, an enthusiastic reader, and loved sharing good meals and travels with family and friends. Above all, he cherished his role as “Pop” to his eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness.

He is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Frances; his two sons, Neal and Douglas; and their respective families.

His warmth, creativity, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
