Norma Willmarth

Norma Mae (Gilles) Willmarth passed away in Bradenton, Florida on December 17, 2023. Norma was born on January 19, 1948, to Ardella and Reuben Gilles in Austin, MN. Norma attended Queen of Angels grade school and graduated from Pacelli High School in 1966. Following high school, she enrolled in the LPN Nursing program in Rochester, MN. She graduated from the program in 1967 and was employed by St. Mary's Hospital which is affiliated with the Mayo Clinic.

Norma married Charles E. Willmarth on March 1, 1969, at Queen of Angel's Church in Austin, MN. They moved to NJ and later to Annapolis, MD, where they lived for more than 20 years.

Blessed with one son, Charles H. Willmarth, Norma enjoyed being a mother and later a grandmother to their two grandsons. She especially enjoyed boating and spending time on the water and the beaches.

When Charlie and Norma retired, they moved to FL to enjoy warm weather and the beaches. They enjoyed many cruises in retirement.
Norma is survived by her husband, Charlie of 54 years; son, Chuck and wife Amy; two grandsons Charlie and Rudy Willmarth of Annapolis, MD.

She is also survived by sister-in-law, Barbara (Ed) Callahan; her five siblings Eileen (Pat) Hines, Hal (Susan) Gilles, Dolores (Gary) Nelson, Cindy (John) Vyrostek and Kevin (Lorri) Gilles and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her parents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life to honor Norma's memory will be 3 PM January 15, 2024, at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
