Palmetto City Commission Agenda Results: 10/21/2013

Posted

PALMETTO -- Monday night's Palmetto City Commission meeting was a late night for more than 100 residents who showed up for the highly-contested 100-room hotel being proposed off of Rivera Dunes Way. The would-be neighbors stood in the aisles and sat on the floor to get their chance to demonstrate why the proposed project was too big, didn't have enough parking or the proper setback to allow approval. Accusations of misconduct were thrown at the applicant, as well as those opposing the project until only one solution could conclude the meeting; and that was a continuance, with no new date in sight.

Call to order, followed by a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance.
