The Palmetto City Commission on Monday night will vote on tax rates and its budget.
The commissioners will meet beginning at 7 p.m. at Palmetto City Hall, 516 Eighth St. W., in Palmetto.
The two resolutions are 09-37, to set the ad valorem taxes for 2010, and 09-38, to adopt the budget for 2010.
There will also be a public hearing on the measuring of distances for the city's alcohol ordinance. In past meetings, it was noted that the methods of measurement of distances to schools and churches differed because churches were measured to the front door and schools were measured to the property line. In the new ordinance, both would be measured to the property line.
There will also be an update on the 23rd Street Realignment and baseball field.
