Patricia Ann "Patty" Ernest, 91, of Bradenton, FL passed away on November 22, 2022.

Born in Long Beach, CA on February 8, 1931. She moved to Palmetto, FL in 1956 from Carrier, OK. Patty was a Baptist and worked for General Telephone Company and Grimes and Hawkins Attorney for numerous years. Patricia enjoyed playing the piano, and gardening and was an excellent seamstress. She produced beautiful roses and orchids for many years and had a beautiful backyard. Enjoyed traveling to California, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Atlanta. She took us on family trips every year. When the grandkids arrived regular trips to Disney World began with an annual camping trip at Disney’s Fort Wilderness. She loved her grandkids and truly enjoyed the family times. Great memories to be cherished by grandkids and great-grandkids. Grandma Patty was known for the best Christmas cookies, chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin rolls, fried chicken, and sausage balls. Every year in January you would find Patricia assisting the Lion’s Club of Bradenton at the county fair 10 AM–10 PM daily. Patricia and Richard were instrumental in getting the Lion’s Club of Bradenton involved with this event. It all began with Robert H. Prine Elementary PTA members taking tickets at the fair to provide funds for the elementary school back in 1966/67. The PTA decided to turn it over to the Lion’s Club. To this day the Lions club still provides services to the Manatee County Fair.

Predeceased by her parents, Glen and Doris Perry; husband, Richard B. Ernest; sister, Barbra Bergdall Gabric and nephew, Michael Bergdall. Survived by her daughters, Glenda Westbrook (Robert) Palmetto; Debbie Price Bradenton and Sheri Fintel (Richard) Palmetto; grandchildren, Deborah (Punkin) Allen, Richard (Boover) Fintel (Billie-Jo), Rusty Price Jr., Jason Fintel (Leighann), Tricia Westbrook, Craig Westbrook and Rob Westbrook; Great grandchildren, Zyan Allen, CiCi Allen, Baylin Allen, Montana Hicks, Ty Hicks; and two great-great-grandchildren.
