BRADENTON, Fla. - Patricia Byerly, 75, of Trumann, was called home to the Lord on April 16, 2024, in Bradenton, Fla. Patricia was born June 26, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo. Patricia was the oldest of three daughters born to Mary (Bill) Jackson and Cupert (Lillian) Hernandez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Pauline (William) Hutcherson, and the love of her life, Melton Ambrose Byerly.

Patricia devoted her life to her family, faith and community. She and Melton ran Byerly's Groceries for over 30 years serving the residents of Trumann. Patty was also an employee of Walmart following the closing of the store. She was a devoted Christian and member of Trumann First Assembly of God for over 35 years and she loved her church family and her pastor dearly. She took pride in the life she had built with the people she loved so dearly.

Patricia is survived by her loving sons, Melton Byerly Jr. of Bradenton and Patrick Byerly (Tammy) of Trumann, and her sister, Sally Moss (Joe) of Orlando, Fla. Patricia was a devoted grandmother to eight grandchildren, Courtnee, Zachary, Grant, Cameron, Dakota, Skylar, Greg and Rebba, and 17 great-grandchildren.

Patricia always had a child in her arms and her love for her family was fierce. Patty was loved and will also be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and aunts.

Patricia was one of a kind. She was grace. She was love. She was the definition of a God-fearing woman and her presence will be greatly missed. She left a mark on anyone she ever came into contact with and was a blessing to this world.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. today, April 24, at First Assembly of God Church, 27654 W. Main Extended in Trumann. A celebration of her life will follow at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Doke officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery at Harrisburg.

Pallbearers will be Greg Fulton, Zachary Byerly, Grant Byerly, Raymond Hutcherson, Jonathan Welsh and Jake Halfacre.
