It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia A. Esposito announce her passing on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Bradenton Hospice House. Patty was born on June 9, 1949 in New Haven, CT. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Patty married her high school sweetheart, John Esposito, and the two shared a loving and beautiful 56 years together. They traveled all over the world, but her favorite cities were New York and Palm Springs. She and her husband also had a beautiful home, which was always filled with her four children and four grandchildren who were the love of her life.

She was the kind of grandmother who was there for every milestone- cheering on her beloved babies. She was the heart of the family. She used her strength and wisdom to guide her loved ones. Patty was passionate about helping people and her job as a nurse was one of her proudest accomplishments.

After raising her children as a stay-at-home mom, Patty attended nursing school. She was considered a non-traditional student and excelled while still taking care of her family. She was smart, witty, and driven. She was competitive and had the best poker face. Patty was a collector. She collected shoes, tea pots, dishes, and napkin rings. She also loved to entertain, and she always had a seat at the table for any and all who needed it. Anyone who attended a holiday at her house knew the place setting and the decorations would be perfect and the kindness and warmth would be contagious.

Patty was also an avid reader, shopper, bargain hunter, and a lover of all things pink and sparkly. She was always impeccably dressed. Her love of makeup, jewelry, and bags was eclipsed only by her love of family. Despite her illness, she still managed to wear red lipstick and do her hair.

Patty will always be remembered for the way she loved fiercely and supported those she cared about. She was the sounding board and the calm guiding Matriarch of the family and the many people who called in her in times of crisis. Her heart, her kindness, and her wisdom were always available for anyone in need and anyone who took her counsel was better for it.

Her loved ones will remember her saying, "You will always have your family" and her family will miss her deeply. But she will always be with us, in our hearts forever. Patty was preceded in death by her father, Michael Ferrucci and mother, Edna (nee: Hile) Ferrucci along with her son John Esposito, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 56yrs., John R. Esposito and their children, John R. (Tonya Roney) Esposito III, Christopher J. Hile, Shannon Weyant Esposito and Jennifer (Dexter) Esposito Norris. Patricia also leaves behind her brother, Michael (Suzanne McQuire) Ferrucci, brother-in-law, Stanley (Jean) Esposito, sisters, Debbie (Don) Hamel and Cheryl (Patrick) Gargano and grandchildren, Daniel Weyant, Stella Esposito Gooden, Gianna Esposito and Kylo John Esposito along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service for Patricia will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Sarasota National Cemetery at 1:30PM with burial of cremains to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Patricia Esposito's name to the Association of Frontal Temporal Degeneration.
