Patricia J. Wilder was born in Charleston, IL on June 9, 1937, to Ray and Faye Tomlin. Patricia was received into Heaven on December 11, 2024, at the age of 87. She was residing at Brookdale Bradenton Gardens in Bradenton, FL and was in the caring hands of Affinity Hospice.
Pat's family lived in the mid-west states during her growing up years. While they were residing in Tarkio, MO, she graduated from high school. Following that, she went on to receive a secretarial business degree.
On March 30, 1986, Pat was married to Bud C. Wilder. They joined their families in love and support for all. Preceding Pat in death were her parents, Ray and Faye Tomlin, her husband Bud Wilder, a stepdaughter, Vicki Robinson and a stepson, Stan Wilder. Many other dear relatives and friends have also passed before her onto God's glory.
Pat is survived by her sister, Judy (Mike) Lake and her brother Corky (Jo) Tomlin. Her surviving children are Beverly (Curt) Baechler, Susan (John) Rainville, Robert Wilder, Steve (Jodie Johnson) Yarger and Tim (Kathy) Yarger. When Pat passed away, she had 12 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. She was proud of and loved them all immensely.
Throughout her life, Pat strived to spread the love of Jesus. First and foremost was the care of her family. She spent many years working and serving as a church secretary. The work she treasured the most were the years spent ministering along side her husband, Pastor Bud Wilder, in United Methodist churches.
Upon retirement, in 2002, Pat and Bud moved to Bradenton, FL. They were very involved in the churches they attended, volunteering with love and enthusiasm. Pat was involved in the park where they lived. She was an excellent shuffleboard player, enjoyed helping with social events and lending a caring hand to those in need.
Toale Brothers of Bradenton have handled her final request for cremation. Pat's internment will be at Sarasota National Veteran's Cemetery, alongside her husband. There will be a private family service.
