Paul Ray Amburgey 9/11/1939-8/26/2026 was born in South Charleston, WV. to the late Carl Vernon Amburgey and Doris Hossler Amburgey. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Claudia, sister Rebecca Rouche and brothers David and Joseph.
Prior to retirement, Paul was employed by Giant Foods in Maryland as chief engineer. After retirement, he re-located to Florida.
Surviving is his wife Kathy L. Amburgey; three sons, Michael R. Amburgey (Partner Maurianna); Steven S. Amburgey (Louise) and Victor R. Amburgey; nine grandchildren, Regan, Tanner (Christa), Kate, Chole, Jordan, Steven, Devin, Kayla, and Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Ezra, Genevieve and two on the way. Paul is also survived by his sisters Ricki Johnson and Sue Miklik (David).
Private burial at Sarasota National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
