Paul Romano Scaramella passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the age of 83. A remarkable spirit of energy, he embraced life as an entertainer. Sharing countless stories and memories of his many experiences. He embraced a life well-lived and was greatly beloved for his benevolence, intellect, strong will, and above all, for his fierce passion and loyalty for his family.

Paul was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, on November 30, 1940, to parents Hugo and Alice Scaramella. He was the oldest of 3 children. He moved to Portland, CT, during his high school years and joined the navy immediately after high school.

In 1982, he met the love of his life, Ann (Lewis) Scaramella and they were married February 5, 1983.

Paul worked as a lineman for Southern New England Telephone for more than 2 decades. And finishing his career as a top-notch special service technician before retiring in 1996 and moving to Bradenton, FL, in 1997.

He was an active member of the Elks club in Bradenton and belonged to the American Legion in Bradenton. He was the president of his HOA for approximately 8 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandson, Nicholas Scaramella. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Scaramella of Bradenton, FL; two sons, Steven Scaramella, and his wife Terri of Vernon, CT, and Gary Scaramella of Portland, CT; two stepsons, Michael Lewis and his wife Beth of Vernon, CT, and Jason Lewis and his wife Lori of Bradenton, FL. His is also survived by his grandchildren, Matthew Scaramella, David Scaramella, Laura Scaramella, Gary Scaramella Jr., Paige Lewis, Kayla Lewis, Brooke Lewis, Amber Gunn, and Jordan Kelley. A great grandson, William McDonald.

A Celebration of life will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Bradenton Elks Club, No. 111, 2511 75th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209, is in charge of arrangements. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a charity of your choice.
