Paulette (Malvito) Braga, 77, joined the love of her life, Terry Braga, September 11. She is survived by their daughters Dawn and Eve, son-in-laws Michael and Chris, and beloved grandson, Joseph, the light of her life. Paulette leaves behind her brothers and sisters Garnet (Darrell), Greg (Marge), Pat (Tracy), Debbie (Richard) and Peter (Darla).
She lived an incredible life filled with precious memories. From New York, a rich blend of family experiences and activism, to Florida with numerous activities showcasing her exceptional talents including her insurance underwriting expertise.
Paulette had an absolute passion for sewing and was a gifted seamstress. She and her American Sewing Guild friends stitched beautiful, comforting creations for many charitable groups.
Paulette proudly and unapologetically advocated for Patriotic causes that were important to her, serving as a beacon of light propelling many friends to join her. She fought relentlessly for Truth and Justice in the hope that by doing so, the world would become a better place for her grandson Joseph.
She valued life-long learning and embraced it, along with extensive travels, as a way to enrich her life and those around her! Paulette was a kind and thoughtful friend, reliable partner, consummate professional and the epitome of a ‘happy warrior’; but, above all, she was our Mom and our dear friend. We are blessed to have had this great Lady in our lives.
Paulette and Terry will be laid to rest at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72 (Clark Road), Sarasota, FL 34241. October 8, 2025 1:30pm.
