Peter Gerald Monteleone was known by many names- Peter, Jerry, and Frank just to name a few. To his family, he was known simply as Dad or Pop. Aged 83 at the time of his passing, he resided in Palmetto, FL and passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025 at his home.
Jerry was born in Vineland, NJ to Francesco (Frank) and Mary Monteleone on December 29, 1941. He was a talented second-generation cobbler and owner of the family shoe repair business-Franks Shoe Service- which he ran for forty years in Vineland, NJ.
He enjoyed classic cars, animals, watching old Western films, and spending time with his family. A man of many talents, he had an eye for the arts in many mediums such as photography, painting, coloring, and ceramics to name a few.
He is survived by his spouse Lillian Monteleone (née Wojculewski), son Richard Gerald Monteleone (Patrick McLaughlin), daughter Lisa Monteleone-Haught (Matthew), Cory Monteleone-Haught (Steven Bouhadana), Drew Monteleone-Haught (Alyssa), sister Linda Caralluzzo (Harry), and many nieces and nephews.
At his request, no services will be held, but a private ceremony for immediate family was held.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to your favorite charity in his honor.
