Pitch in on Ware

BRADENTON — Join a local effort to keep the shores of Wares Creek clean as the Historic Ware’s Creek Neighborhood partners with Keep Manatee Beautiful and the Ocean Conservancy for the 2013 International Coastal Cleanup. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday, October 5.

Volunteers should meet at 9 a.m. at the corner of Virginia Drive and Manatee Ave. W. near the Bradenton Woman’s Club. The target area of the cleanup is Ware’s Creek between Manatee-9th avenues west. Volunteers can bring Well Point Tracking Sheets to be signed by Bradenton City Councilman Patrick Roff.
