When Trump was assembling his 2nd administration, I said that all the planets were aligned for a takeover. The personal weaponizing of the DOJ, Homeland Security, and the State Department; the purge of the Defense Department of any and all possible disloyal generals and higher-ups; and the installation of an obvious lackey as Defense Secretary, who would be beholden only to Trump, was an obvious setup for possibly very dark things.
Fast-forward to the present, and it’s clear the planets are also aligned now to take action on a possible takeover. The dress rehearsal was in LA, testing the waters with the deployment of troops, which only exacerbated a tense situation and made it harder for local police to handle unrest - a situation they never lost control of and a very good job of quelling.
Now, with the takeover of our capital’s police department and deployment of troops, which hasn’t seen much pushback, Trump is apparently emboldened to expand this program of armed control and strategic deployment to Chicago and 18 other states.
I hope I’m wrong, but I will risk being called politically biased and a Trump hater in order to once again sound the alarm in an effort to be proactive in what appears to me to be a slow-rolling, authoritarian governmental armed takeover.

I totally agree with your assessment, Mark. I just don't think 7 months is a slow takeover. The corruption is openly committed and there are no guardrails to stop them.
Your warning is relatively useless. There is nothing to stop them. They have taken over and are extorting money and concessions like thugs in the 50's mobster movies.
Congress won't stop the administration, they applauded his takeover. Supremes won't stop him, they encouraged him. Media won't stop him. The billionaires want the tax breaks and they want the labor costs to go down in this country. That is what the BBB provided.
Voting is no longer a thing. The Project 2025 plan was based on rigging the elections and having One Party Rule. Their Rule. It is set up following Russia's government organization. The Oligarchs Rule as long as they don't **** off the bossman.
Not many options remaining: Leave for another country with freedom, Stay and become one of the proletariat-a struggling minion with minimal chance for improvement, or fight a bloody war. Personally, I'm too old for this stuff. I protested Nam, burned bras, protested the NRA, marched for Women's Rights--abortion, pay, financial, and more. I marched with BLM and the Million Women's March. The Oligarchy and the Military Industrial Complex have continued to tear down all we created.
The fact that 77 million people voted for a convicted felon rather than a competent, intelligent prosecutor disgusts me. Why did my ancestors fight for freedom so these morons could give it all away to a nasty, dumb, classless prick? Then there are the 90 million who were to apathetic to vote. I find it difficult to stay here and consider trying to regain what we once had and 150 million US citizens threw away in 2024.
What is the point? Their values are NOT mine. I do not like or respect them. I think it is better that I take my ball and go play with a team that is a democracy, that is not racist and misogynistic and downright hateful to anyone they feel should be beneath them.
I suggest those who really do want human rights for themselves and their family look to the rest of the world and consider emigrating.
