Plant Swap and Witches Parade at VOTA Saturday

Posted

From dancing witches to a plant swap and garden show, there is a full day of fun at Bradenton's Village of the Arts this Saturday

The Village Merchants will host a plant swap and garden show from noon to 2 pm, with galleries open until 4 pm. Stations will be set up around the Village's north blocks with different plants to trade or offer. Three Manatee County Extension Service Master Gardeners will be here to talk about plants that grow well in Florida, Pollinator Gardens, and Native plants vs. invasives.

At 5 pm, a Witch Parade will wind through the Village and end in front of the First monthly Night Market at the soon-to-open gallery, "Sit a Spell." The main body of Witch dancers are from the Suncoast Sand Witches, who are coming to encourage VOTA's newly formed Village Witch Dance Troupe.

The Witch Dancers will perform at Cate's first-ever night market in the Village, at 1019 10th Street West.
