Excellent podcast! Every resident should listen, it’s an entertaining way to learn exactly what’s going on in Manatee County - it appears that Long Bar Point/ Aqua by the Bay is trying to increase height of their building and asking for an “engineering solution” which sounds a lot like a seawall instead of a wetland buffer which may not be brought before the public- but possibly approved internally. Thank you, Bradenton Times, for always accurately informing the public. Thank you, Joe McClash, for personally challenging the wetlands changes!

I worked for the county. I laughed with him about the newspapers in the late 90's and early 2000.. The local papers covered much more then they do now. I got called by one reporter, can't remember his name but when called I ran to my director and building official to make sure I didn't have to answer. They dd. Then, had one female who got my phone number and she would call after work hours for a comment. So much for being anonymous.
