BRADENTON - On Halloween, crowds of kids in whatever costumes are "in" will be trick-or-treating in the area, but the Bradenton Police Department said Wednesday that some adults better keep their candy to themselves.
In a press release, Police Chief Michael Radzilowski warned "all registered sexual predators and offenders on supervision, community control or probation" that their status may prohibit them from unsupervised contact with children.
"You may be prohibited from displaying Halloween decorations that can entice or lure children to your residence," the release said. "Bradenton Police officers will be monitoring your activities on October 31, 2009, to ensure compliance with any court orders in this regard."
Failure to comply could be a violation and leave a person subject to arrest, the release said.
