WINTER HAVEN-SCF Coach Reggie Bellamy was concerned with his team's defensive play heading into the Manatees Suncoast Conference schedule despite last Friday's win over Webber International. His concern will increase as the Manatees lose an 82-74 decision to Polk State College Wednesday night in Winter Haven.

The Manatees (6-9, 0-1) play Suncoast Conference opponents the rest of the schedule including Saturday afternoon's home contest against St. Petersburg College in a 4:00 p.m. tip-off.
John Miller led the Manatees with 17 points, seven rebounds, one assist and a steal against the Polk State College Vikings. Josh Mason added 13 points with nine rebounds and six assists. Markee Teal chipped in with 14 points.
