Reels at Rossi Park continues this Friday night, April 17th, with the showing of August Rush. The movie will begin at sunset.
The title character, young August Rush, is orphaned by circumstance, and uses his unique inherited musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth. The movie stars Freddie Highmore, Liv Tyler, Keri Russell and Robin Williams.
Food and drink vendors will be available. Public parking is available at the park, on the first two floors of the Promenade Parking Garage and throughout downtown.
Reels at Rossi Park (http://reelsatrossipark.com/), a creation of the Bradenton Downtown Development Authority, features free, outdoor movies on a 12-foot-high screen near Rossi's signature clocktower on the third Friday of every month. Residents are invited to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy the movie, or park your boat on the Manatee River and watch it from there.
