BRADENTON – A study by doxoINSIGHTS found that Bradenton residents saw their monthly utility bills (electric, gas, water & sewer, and waste & recycling) rise 7% in 2022. However, the levels were still significantly lower than both the state and national averages.

The report found the following:

  • National Average Monthly/Annual Cost: $328 spent per month; $3,936 spent per year
  • Percent of Annual Income: Utility bills amount to 6% of consumers’ income per year
In addition, doxo reported household bill pay data for Bradenton (along with 4,000 cities across the U.S.) that looks at total amount spent per month, and breaks down bill payments into ten different categories, including utilities, auto loans, cable bills, and more.

In Bradenton, the study found that the average household pays $1,841 a month for the 10 most common household bills. This ranked Bradenton as number 102 in terms of most-to-least expensive in household expenses by city in Florida. The household expenses in Bradenton, on average, were 8.1% lower than the national average of $2,003, and 7.6% lower than the state average of $1,993.
