Republicans Dominate Statewide Races

BRADENTON – In what proved to be a great night for the Florida Republican Party, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis easily defeated former Republican governor and current Democratic House member Charlie Crist on Tuesday, pulling out to a 19-point lead as of our reporting deadline.

Republican candidates also swept the three cabinet races on Tuesday’s ballot, while incumbent Republican Senator Marco Rubio won a 13-point landslide against Democratic Congresswoman Val Demmings.

Incumbent Republican Attorney General Ashley Moody routed Democratic challenger Arami Ayala by a 16-point margin.

In the Florida Chief Financial Officer race, Republican Jimmy Patronis easily dispatched Democrat Adam Hattersley by 12 points, while Republican Wilton Simpson topped Democrat Naomi Blemur by 13 points in the race for Florida Agriculture commission.
