Bradenton - Richard "Dick" John Dunkle, age 74, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on March 6, 2024. He was born on September 18, 1949, in Butler, PA, to the late Hannah and Arnold Dunkle.

Dick was a vibrant soul who never ceased to spread joy with his love for jokes and laughter. He was a dedicated worker in the Hospitality & Marketing industry until his final days. He worked for Mission BBQ until the week before he passed away. He enjoyed that job very much. An avid Steelers and Pirates fan, he never missed a game.

Dick loved to sing and often did karaoke. He sang a song to his wife in bed every night. Dick's nurturing spirit extended to his loved ones, especially his wife, Gail Nowacky, whom he cherished deeply.

In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Elaine Dunkle, his daughter-in-law Zoe Alexander, his grandson Jeffrey J Greenlee, and his sister and brother-in-law, Meryl Ritchie and Robert Bodey.

A graduate of Butler High School, Dick furthered his education at Johnstown University, where he obtained his Masters.

Apart from his professional life, Dick found solace in his hobbies of sports, karaoke, and cooking. He worshipped at the Church of the Psalms, finding spiritual comfort in his faith.

A celebration of Dick's life was held on March 21, 2024, at Elks Lodge 2734. His ashes will be sprinkled on Lido Key Beach (another favorite spot) at a later date. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
