Richard Joseph Jablonski, 81, of Bradenton, FL, passed peacefully on 6/8/2026 with Patricia, his wife of 58 years, beside him.
Richard was born in Norwich, CT on 7/14/1944 as a twin to Robert, who died at birth. Richard was the son of the late Jennie V. Jablonski and the late Joseph Jablonski.
Richard worked in Quality Assurance at General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division for nearly 30 years. Richard was inquisitive and mechanically inclined and loved animals, history, facts and numbers, news, classical music and Porsches.
He will be missed for his wit and his ability to find solutions to problems. Richard is survived by his wife Patricia, brother Eugene (Maureen) Jablonski of Lisbon, CT, brother-in-law Robert Mayor (Linda) of Lisbon, CT, sister-in-law Carol Gradwell of Viera, Florida, and a niece Casey Gradwell and nephew Morgan Gradwell.
A memorial service will be held for Richard at 11 AM on June 19, 2026, at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes 43rd St. Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL, 34209. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's name to Tidewell Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
