Rilla Louise Fleming, born on November 9, 1956, in Bradenton, Florida, passed away tragically in a car accident on July 11, 2026, in High Springs, Florida. She was 69 years old.
Rilla was the beloved daughter of the late James Hampton Fleming and Beverly Hargis Fleming. She is remembered fondly by her siblings, Brenda Marie Fleming and Damon Overton and companion Bernie Peacock. She was predeceased by her brother, Steven Fleming.
Rilla’s legacy lives on through her children: Rose Marie Barrett (married to Tracy Thorne), Stephanie Christine Plusser (married to Loren Plusser), David Hampton Cobb, Beverly Ann Cobb (married to Kara Cobb), and Lloyd Edward Eldridge II. She was a proud grandmother to Mariah, Cierra, Lloyd Edward Eldridge III, Malachi, Ezekiel, Henley, Jesslyn, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Aallana, and Torrie. Her love extended even further to her seven great-grandchildren—with the addition of great granddaughter Marigold.
Known for her loving and giving nature, Rilla touched the lives of all who knew her with her kind heart and generous spirit. Her warmth and compassion will be deeply missed but forever cherished by those she held dear.
