Bradenton, Florida - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert William Whitehead, a caring, loving, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bob passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, at the age of 91 in Bradenton, FL.
Born in Jackson, MI, Robert (Bob) lived a life defined by service, dedication, and love. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he served his country with honor and integrity. Following his military service, he built a successful career as a Tool & Die Engineer, where he was known for his precision, strong work ethic, and expert craftsmanship. His entrepreneurial spirit later led him into the restaurant business, where he became a respected owner, bringing people together with good food and warm hospitality.
Beyond his professional achievements, Bob was passionate about golf and could often be found on the course enjoying a round with friends or family. He had a natural gift for coaching and mentorship, always ready to offer guidance, encouragement, and wisdom, whether on the field, in the workplace, or in everyday life.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, June Whitehead (née Johnson), and his brother, Dr. Richard E. Whitehead.
