Until May 6, 2024, Robin Hannon had been a vibrant spirit in the world since 1954. For most of that time she was an enthusiastic cook who shared her outcomes with many extremely thankful recipients. She self-published a cookbook in 2012, but never one to shine a light on herself, she gathered recipes from all of those near and dear to her to include in the book and published them with credits to each individual.
In 1985, Robin married Michael Hannon, the man whom she would love wholeheartedly and work with to build their ideal life. Their union was one that many used as a standard for their own marriages.
Though born in Ferndale, Michigan, where she met her lifelong friend, Sandy Barnes-Scott, Robin had been a resident of Florida for more than 40 years. When not serving in an upscale Hilton, running her own limousine service or supervising large corporate travel events, you could find her in her most common casual attire - a bathing suit and sarong. In her retirement years, always the social butterfly, she initiated an exercise group that she dubbed, "The Biking Beauties." Though members evolved as people moved and Robin's charisma attracted new participants, the group remained active for more than a decade.
Her robust, sincere and joyful laugh will echo in the minds of those who knew her for many years to come.
Robin was preceded in death by her father, Charles Mellor and her mother, Joyce Keranin. She is survived by her husband, Michael, her sister, Jill Allyn, her brother, Thom (Angie) Mellor and her beloved niece, Shannon (Eric) Tatro and nephew, Aaron (Erin) Marinco and special cousin, Tena Hermance as well as many great nieces and nephews.
No Service is planned at this time. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209, is in charge of arrangements.
