Ronald L. Gainer, 88, passed away July 28, 2023, in Bradenton, FL. He was born November 10, 1934, in Clarksburg, WV, to Robert Scott and Virginia Elenore (Sutton) Gainer.
He was an Army Veteran who served his country from 1953-1955. Ronald received his Bachelor’s Degree from Salem College in Salem, WV. He worked for General Electric as a traveling auditor and financial manager. While working for GE, Ronald and his wife moved to many cities before settling in Bradenton, FL.
He enjoyed camping, golfing, traveling and cruising. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #394.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Barbara Ann (Gainer) Heater. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Shirley Jean (Kopp); sons, David Scott, Jeffrey Douglas (Alicia Evans); daughter, Rebecca Sue (David) Gagliano; grandchildren, Jenna Gagliano and Jason Gagliano (Jessica Legaspi), and Nathan Gainer; great grandchild, Caden Gagliano.
