It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Leon Whitman, who departed this life on June 2, 2025, at the age of 68. Ron passed away peacefully at his home in Bradenton, FL.
Born on February 21, 1957, in Humboldt, TN, Ron was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, caring brother and loyal friend, known for his sharp wit, compassion, and unwavering determination.
Ron had a passion for boating, tinkering in the garage and manicuring his lawn, and he found joy in family gatherings, mentoring and helping others. His presence brought comfort and strength to those around him, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He ended his career working at Woodruff & Son's, his second family. He was a member of Woodland Community Church.
He is survived by his wife Carol Whitman, his sister Linda Hutchinson, his children and grandchildren: Clint Whitman (Bridget and baby Whitman), Grayson Whitman (Sara and Graham), Sydney Printer (Sean) and Noah Whitman and many other cherished family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Samuel "Leon" and Frances McLemore Whitman as well as his two brothers, Charles Whitman and Michael Whitman.
Ron Whitman's legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you raise a glass, share a memory, and remember-it isn't rocket science!
